At 16 years old, Mark Eliyahu stumbled upon a sound that would change his life forever. It was the enchanting echo of the kamanche, a musical instrument that stirred his soul and set him on a life-changing journey. Overwhelmed by the captivating melody, he asked his master in Athens, "What is that sound?" Upon learning it was the kamanche, Mark was determined to master this instrument.
Against all odds, he traveled to Azerbaijan, living under the radar at his teacher's home for two years, dedicating his life to the art of the kamanche. His journey didn't end there; after returning to Israel, Mark assembled a band, each member chosen for their unique musical talents.
Mark's story doesn't just revolve around his solo endeavors. A notable part of his career includes collaborations with other artists, adding depth to his music and enhancing his creative expression. An inspiring example of this was his partnership with Amir Dadon, Idan Reichel and more, complementary talents to his own.
